What We Do:

Assistance Service Dogs perform many tasks to help disabled people lead independent lives. When fully trained, our dogs perform over 90 skills in response to verbal commands. Participants train their dogs to perform tasks such as:
-Switch lights on and off
-Open and Close Doors
-Open the refrigerator, bring back a drink
-Open and unload clothes from a dryer
-Help undress
-Pick up and retrieve dropped items
With these commands, our dogs can fill a wide variety of human needs. In addition to physically aiding the client, our dogs provide companionship, support, and comfort 24/7.
Woodlake High School students participating in the the program learn valuable life lessons:
-Responsibility
-Respect
-Compassion
-Leadership
-Patience

In addition, they gain self confidence and become well rounded individuals ready to give back to society.
